This Week in Strongman 8/11/2007 - August 10, 2007

It's another busy weekend on the amateur strongman circuit with contests in Virginia, Texas, Idaho, and Minnesota. The season is winding down, and all of the competitors who haven't qualified for the national championships in Las Vegas in November are scrambling to do so. Add the competitors who've already qualified still competing in these contests, and you've got some really hungry individuals showing up to give it 100% at these contests.
Fatback's Strongman Challenge

Ticket required. Get them here in advance or at the door.
Idaho's Strongest Man
Where:Hot Rod Cafe-Post Falls, ID
When: Saturday 8/11 at 3:30 pm

1. Semi Truck pull
2. Farmers Walk/Tire Flip Medley
3. Log Press
4. Keg Load
5. Atlas Stones
Kasson Strongman Challenge *Non-NAS sanctioned contest
Where:North Park-Kasson, MN
When: Saturday 8/11 at 11:00 am
Events
1. Axle Press
2. Deadlift
3. Stone Carry/Chain Drag Medley
*This is just a small town, non-sanctioned contest. No qualifications for nationals will be given. I'll be competing there.
